Kaiser Bummelzug – Your Round Trip of the Kitzbuehel Alps
Starting in St. Johann in Tirol, our train offers a holiday experience for young and old. Enjoy a one-hour round trip through the region of St. Johann and the Kitzbuehel Alps.
From May 22nd to September 21st, 2023, experience the impressive panorama of the Tyrolean mountains – from the Wilder Kaiser to the Kitzbueheler Horn. With capacity for up to 60 people, you will learn on our tour more about the history of our beautiful holiday region. By prior arrangement, we also schedule tours of the neighbouring village of Oberndorf every Wednesday.

Our Timetables & Routes
For 50 minutes, our Kaiser Bummelzug takes you on beautiful routes through the Kitzbuehel Alps. Discover the town of St. Johann – the pulsating heart of the region. Situated at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser, the picturesque village fascinates young and old. Our neighbouring village Oberndorf is halfway to Kitzbuehel and impresses with lush alpine meadows and mighty mountain massifs. Find your perfect tour and let yourself be enchanted by the Tyrolean charm!
Daytime Ride St. Johann (Mon-Sat) – until September 21st, 2023
Departures on the hour, 11am-4pm, from Speckbacherstrasse (pedestrian area in front of Hotel Post), or on Fridays in front of the local heritage museum on Bahnhofstrasse.
Route: Speckbacherstrasse – Town Centre – Kaiserstrasse – Hinterkaiser – Frickingweg – Weitau – Velbenstrasse – Römerweg – Church St. Nicholas – Taxaweg – Kaiserstrasse – Main Church – Town Hall – Local Heritage Museum – Train Station – Speckbacherstrasse
Daytime Ride Oberndorf (Wed by appointment)
Departures on the hour, 10am-noon, from the car park opposite the town hall
Route: Town Centre – Eberhartling – Rerobichl – Town Hall – Wiesenschwang – Town Centre
Please note that a registration via telephone is required for the Oberndorf daytime ride.
